Reynoldsburg Officer Mike BenderOfficer of the Week for June 29, 2008Last month Reynoldsburg Officer Mike Bender was at a residence in the city of Reynoldsburg on an “unknown trouble” call. While at that location he obtained information from a citizen in regard to “suspicious activities” involving a male unrelated to the call he was on. Officer Bender was able to obtain information related to several armed robberies that had taken place involving this male. He also was able to establish the identity of the male and was able to determine two businesses in Reynoldsburg and Columbus had been robbed by him. It would later be determined that the male was also involved in several pizza delivery robberies in several jurisdictions. All of this information was gathered and forwarded on to investigators. The male was later charged with several counts of aggravated robbery and is currently awaiting trail. Due to Officer Bender’s actions and personal fortitude a dangerous person has been taken off the streets and we are proud to name Officer Mike Bender of the Reynoldsburg Division of Police as our “Officer of the Week” Officer of the Week Archive | |||||||
