Columbus Police Officer Robert Sagle

Officer of the Week for July 15, 2007

Columbus Police Officer
Robert Sagle

On May 26, 2007, Officer Robert Sagle of the Columbus Police
Department was following up on multiple Robberies which occurred on
hotels. As he observed the surveillance video of one of the Robberies, he
was able to get a good image of the vehicle and suspect. While working a
plain clothes detail, he located a possible suspect vehicle in some nearby
apartment buildings. Enlisting the help of the Columbus SWAT team, the
vehicle was stopped the next day and the robbery suspect was identified.
He subsequently admitted tothe Reynoldsburg robberies and several in
the City of Columbus. Thanks to Officer Sagle's diligence, a dangerous
felon was removed from the streets. We are proud to name Columbus Police
Officer Robert Sagle our "Officer of the Week."
