Columbus Police Sergeant Marty McSweeneyOfficer of the Week for July 22, 2007Columbus Police Sergeant Marty McSweeney Columbus Police Sergeant Marty McSweeney has served the citizens of Columbus 25 years, and has been a faithful member of the Honor Guard and Pipe Band for the last 20 years. He was instrumental in the development of the Pipes and Drums which plays at approximately 100-130 events throughout Columbus every year. Sergeant McSweeney has continued to serve the Pipes and Drums and leads 20-25 members of the Band at each event. His dedication to his job, and his devotion to the Honor Guard and the Pipe and Drums band is why we are proud to name Columbus Police Sergeant Marty McSweeney our "Officer of the Week".
